Our Hospital
Since İzmir is a commercial and port city, syphilis was one of the common diseases. For this reason, the construction of the Emraz-ı Zühreviye (Venereal diseases) hospital was started in 1906, and it was put into service in 1908. In 1913, due to his great effort and effort, this hospital was named after Eşref Pasha and named "Eşrefpaşa Hospital". It has been managed by the municipality since 1 February 1950, when it was transferred to the municipality by the Special Provincial Administration.
İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Eşrefpaşa Hospital also served the Faculty of Medicine of two universities.
Ege University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Dermatology and Urology, which was opened in 1956, served in İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Eşrefpaşa Hospital until it moved to its new hospital established in Bornova in 1972.
The other University is; Between 1979 and 1982, it provided health and education services to the faculty, which was established as the Izmir Faculty of Medicine, which was the second Faculty of Medicine of Ege University, before it was transferred to Dokuz Eylul University.
Since 2005, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Eşrefpaşa Hospital has stepped up in every field, increased the number of personnel, and opened its new polyclinic building equipped with high technology. İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Eşrefpaşa Hospital, which constantly renews itself in the field of health, provides both preventive health services and diagnosis and treatment services as a secondary health institution to all segments of the society.
